A charming vintage French faience footed cafe au lait bowl made by Badonviller, France.

The bowl is decorated with bold blue polka dots and a deep blue shaded border against a white ground. It has a plain white glazed interior and stands on a raised circular foot.

The underside bears the partially worn Badonviller France factory backstamp beneath a crest.

A lovely piece of traditional French country pottery, perfect for a farmhouse kitchen, blue-and-white collection or decorative display.

Approximately 6¾ inches / 17 cm diameter

Condition

Vintage condition with overall crazing, age-related surface wear and several small nibbles and glaze losses around the rim. There is also a fine hairline running down from the rim. The factory mark underneath is rubbed but remains identifiable.
