A wonderfully unusual and characterful pair of vintage British studio pottery table lamps, believed to date from the 1970s, each beautifully decorated with a charming coastal village scene reminiscent of the Cornish shoreline.

The ceramic bases feature delightful architectural and maritime detailing, with cottages and buildings nestled along the waterfront. Although distinctly different in their individual decoration, the two lamps share a complementary style and palette, making them particularly appealing when displayed together.

The sculptural pottery has a wonderfully organic, almost naïve quality, evocative of the British studio pottery movement of the period, with a style reminiscent of the celebrated Cornish pottery designs of the 1960s and 1970s.

Both lamps have been paired with beautiful bespoke 12-inch lampshades, handmade using luxurious fabric by the renowned French textile house Pierre Frey. The combination of vintage pottery and contemporary designer fabric creates a striking balance between rustic charm and understated luxury.
