A charming late Victorian to Edwardian rolled gold hunting brooch, featuring a wonderfully detailed running fox set against a traditional horseshoe.
The fox is beautifully modelled with finely textured fur, pointed ears and a wonderfully bushy tail, while the curved horseshoe is finished with individual nail detailing. The motif is mounted across a simple elongated bar, giving the brooch an elegant and very wearable profile.
The brooch is marked Rolled Gold and retains its original long pin fastening.
A lovely piece of antique sporting jewellery and an especially appealing find for collectors of fox, equestrian and country-pursuit jewellery.
