A delightful French Art Nouveau stick pin dating to circa 1900, featuring an unusual stylised fuchsia flower design.
The decorative head is beautifully constructed with a circular openwork surround framing a delicate flower, its drooping petals and rounded stamens capturing the distinctive form of a fuchsia. The restrained botanical design is wonderfully characteristic of jewellery from the Art Nouveau period.
The decorative flower head has been tested as 10ct gold, and is mounted upon a long twisted metal pin terminating in a fine point.
A particularly charming piece of antique floral jewellery, equally lovely worn as a traditional stick pin or collected as an example of turn-of-the-century botanical jewellery.
