A beautiful original J16 rocking chair designed by Hans J. Wegner for FDB Møbler, Denmark.

Retaining its original black painted finish and woven paper cord seat. The chair bears the original FDB Denmark label.

An iconic Danish modern design first introduced in 1944 and one of Wegner’s most recognisable rocking chairs.

The paper cord seat is in very good condition and the frame is structurally sound. There is age-related wear to the original painted finish including scuffs, scratches and paint loss to the arms, rockers and frame as shown in the photographs. We have left the chair exactly as found and have not attempted any repainting or restoration.
